• Objectives

  During the complete renovation of a villa by the sea designed by Arch. Emanuela Esposito, our task was to create and manage all the systems, starting from the electrical system up to the data network, climate control, video surveillance and security, lighting design and lighting control, audio and video entertainment. The main goal was to integrate all the technology into the furnishings in a discreet, elegant and functional way, ensuring an easy and intuitive control system for guests. Additionally, to create ad hoc lighting capable of enhancing the beauty of the residence and garden.

• Concept

  The lighting had to play a central role. Through well-designed scenarios, we aimed to highlight both the details of interiors’ characteristics and the garden with sea view. To offer our guests continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, we opted for a natural tone of light in the rooms. We wanted audio and video entertainment technology to disappear completely, enhancing high-quality relaxation in all the environments. The finishes of all the wall elements such as push-button panels and thermostats required defined customization and uniformity.

• Challenge

  Insert all electronic equipment and audio speakers in the furnishing context, thereby maintaining the traditional curved shapes of ancient Sardinian houses. Furthermore, create custom finishes for each wall element upon the architect’s unique taste. All this, without altering the interior design while maintaining a simple and intuitive technology system.
  
  

• Results

  The beauty of the villa and its natural surroundings are enhanced by the suggestive lighting system scenarios.
  All the comforts such as music, TV, video surveillance and air conditioning are functioning and the systems are completely hidden. Music accompanies daily life in all environments in a uniform way. Our guests can use all technological systems very easily, even through personal smartphones and tablets. The outdoor spaces in the garden, the shade of the pergola and the rooms, are very relaxing and comfortable.

    Outdoor audio system consisting of underground subwoofer and ground stake satellites, which minimize the visual impact and ensure wide diffusion with excellent sound quality.

    Thermal sensor cameras

    The villa's video surveillance and anti-intrusion system allows you to view the cameras remotely and from the touch panels installed in the residence. The use of cameras with thermal sensors and advanced video analysis algorithms guarantees reliability and precision in the measurements, allowing the elimination of false alarms in any climatic condition.

    Garden lighting

    Garden lighting is integrated into the Lutron control system, allowing for time programming and the creation of customized scenarios. All the lighting bodies are weatherproof, equipped with anti-corrosion treatment, with adjustable light intensity.

    Enhancing the landscape

    In collaboration with the Architecture Studio, natural-shaped light fixtures were chosen, thus respecting the evocative external landscape.

    Lighting control system

    The lighting of the garden is integrated into the Lutron control system, with the possibility of creating lighting scenarios and shades of light that highlight the characteristic views of the residence, which can be recalled by pressing a single button or according to time programming.

    Lighting control system

    The lighting and the recall of light scenarios are managed comfortably through elegant Lutron push-button panels, with brushed brass finish and equipped with backlit multifunction keys.

  • Touch panel

    Integration and control system

    The audio / video system, lighting, temperature control, video intercom and video surveillance are integrated and managed by the Savant control system. The wall-mounted touch panel allows easy and intuitive management, increasing home comfort.

    Floor automation

    Preserving the beautiful design of the living room and the evocative sea view, with great scenographic effect at the push of a button, the TV equipped with sound bar comes out of the floor and rotates until it reaches the desired position, to serve the sofa area or the external veranda.

    Coordinated scenario

    Adjustment of light intensity and light tone with stripled DimToWarm, created and positioned appropriately in the room to enhance the furnishings, using the Lutron control system.

  • Audio diffusion

    Invisible speakers

    The sound system in all rooms is made with speakers that disappear completely into the ceiling, equipped with planar emission driven by amplification with a specific processor, for optimized listening even in an architecturally demanding environment.

  • Thermostat

    Custom finishes

    The finish of the thermostats has been customized with the same materials used for the push-button panels.
    The thermoregulation system has been integrated into the Savant control system, making it manageable also from the touch panel, remote control and via app for mobile devices.

  • Lighting

    Lighting control system

    The spotlights in the ceiling use DimToWarm LED technology, which allows you to simulate the lighting of old halogen lamps. Through the Lutron control system, scenarios are managed with coordinated lighting and suggestive shades that enhance the interior design.

  • Underfloor heating

    Comfort management

    In the bathrooms, a coil in the screed guarantees particular comfort with always warm floors, regardless of the use of the air conditioning system or the season of use. It is integrated and monitored by the control system, by means of probes embedded in the floor.

    Audio multiroom

    For greater continuity in the passage from inside to outside, an independent audio area has been created in the suggestive terrace overlooking the sea of the bedroom, which allows guests to go out and relax with the same music they used in the room, or choose outside completely independent music and separate volume control.
